July 22, 2000 8:00am - The crew arrives. Jay and I had already somewhat cleaned up the back yard to get it ready. We cut up the big tree and hauled it branch by branch over to the neighbors river bank. Tim and Jay both called everyone they knew to find someone with a truck that would deliver twenty ton of rock to fill in the old septic tank. But, there were no drivers to be found. The job was suspended until Monday when the rock could be delivered. Later in the day, Jay, Stuart and I removed the siding from the back of the house.

July 24, 2000 7:00am - Jay ordered the rock to be delivered this morning. The crew arrived around 7:30. The rock did not show until 10:30. It then took a couple of hours to fill in the septic tank and Jay had to rent a compactor so the guys could complete the "fill in" of the septic tank. Then they finally finished digging the footers and laying the rebar, which would have been done Friday evening if it hadn’t been for our little surprise. So, this whole "septic tank" thing cost us three days. The concrete and block were ordered for delivery tomorrow morning.

July 25, 2000 8:00am - Concrete truck delivers concrete for footers. Later in the day, the block and trusses arrive.
